Stefano Gabbana is putting Dolce & Gabbana in the headlines for the wrong reason yet again – this time for calling Selena Gomez “so ugly.”
The 55-year-old designer became a troll this week when he commented underneath Catwalk Italia’s Instagram post of Gomez, 25, “è proprio brutta,” which translates to “she’s so ugly.”
Then to prove this wasn’t some strange accident or random outburst, he went on to like a comment stating that the singer “looks like a Pomeranian dog,” and replied “hahahahahaha is true hahahaha.”
However, it wasn’t long before fans, friends and colleagues of Gomez jumped to her defence.
13 Reasons Why star Tommy Dorfman, 26, wrote to him: “You’re tired and over. Your homophobic, misogynistic, body-shaming existence will not thrive in 2018. It is no longer tolerable or chic. Please take many seats.”

Gomez is an executive producer on 13 Reasons Why, the hit Netflix drama which recently launched its second season.
Miley Cyrus, 25, branded Gabbana a “dick head”.
She commented on a separate post: “Well what that dick head said (if it’s true) is fucking false and total bull shit.”
She added: “She’s fine as fuck.”

However, Gabbana is currently relishing the online rage directed at him. His Instagram stories are currently filled with screen-grabs of the coverage and he appears to be enjoying arguments with teenage girls.
In one he wrote: “MY NAME IS SELENA” and “#SAYSORRYTOME.”
This isn’t the first time that the gay designer has caused mass offence, in 2015 he and Domencio Dolce, 59, spoke out against gay adoption and IVF and called children born this way, “synthetic” and “chemical offspring.”
They said: “We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one … No chemical offsprings and rented uterus. Life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.”

The comments sparked outcry, with Elton John, who has two children with David Furnish, leading the way, while others pledged to boycott the brand.
Months later, they apologized in an interview with US Vogue.
Dolce said: “I’ve talked to Stefano a lot about this. I’ve realized that my words were inappropriate, and I apologize. They are just kids. You don’t need labels, baby labels.”
And Gabbana admitted he had considered having children but Italian laws made it impossible.
He explained: “I had thought of going to California and having a baby, but I couldn’t bring the baby back to Italy, because you need the mother’s passport. I asked about adoption in Italy. It’s very hard for a straight couple here – imagine if you are gay!”
