Kylie Minogue fans complain about high prices for Golden tour

Fans of Kylie Minogue have complained after being asked to stump up as much as £950 for an upcoming London show.

The legendary Aussie singer is set to do a series of intimate gigs this year as she launches her new album, Golden.

But loyal followers of the I Should Be So Lucky singer have complained that the star is charging too much.

A normal ticket to the intimate gig at London’s Café De Paris nightclub is £110, with early entry provided at £265.

A VIP package can be bought for £768, not including delivery charge.

Fans of the Lucky singer took to Twitter to air their grievances, with one writing: “One disheartened wrote: “@kylieminogue £965 for meet & greet in London… a lot of fans dreams crushed.”

While another said: “So only the rich can meet their idols then @kylieminogue.”

Kieron Brown wrote: “ULTRA disappointed in @kylieminogue charging such ludicrous prices for upcoming dates promoting new album.

“A slap in face to loyal fans (like me) who’ve stuck by her through thick & thin. She & her people should be ashamed. It’s not like it’s for charity or she needs the cash…”

Another added: “@kylieminogue Ticket regime for the album launch gig is an absolute disgrace.

“Lots of genuine fans missed out due to a slow & inadequate ticket system & ridiculous prices. Real shame that after 30 years real fans have missed out. I hope it’s released on DVD as some consolation.”

The Australian popstar’s new album is said to be inspired by “a little bit of heartbreak”, after she dramatically split from her fiancé earlier this year.

The 49-year-old says she’s ready to release “super positive and inspiring” new music.

The album, to be called Golden, will be her first original studio album since Kiss Me Once in 2014.

In 2015 she also released an album of Christmas songs called Kylie Christmas.

“I went to Nashville for two weeks and that became the album. I did a lot of work on the album before that but Nashville had a profound effect on me,” she told Biz On Sunday.

“The songs are very storytelling and story-based. It was so great to do things a little bit differently.”

Kylie told The Sun: “In the last year, there’s been some of that, but we bounce back.

“Most of it is super positive and inspiring, as a note to self as much as anything else. I’m feeling great right now.”

She added: “It was good. In the studio it’s a slightly weird concept to be spending seven, eight, nine hours in a room with people sometimes you don’t know.

“If you’re working with good people it’s the perfect place to deal with stuff.
