Now Time For an Overhaul!

Now that the tree lighting ceremony in Wilton Manors has happened, it's now time to start on the complete overhaul of the Wilton Manor Christmas Tree!

Tonight we had a good turn out of a great family and friends event here in the downtown area of Wilton Manors. Jaclyn St James and I and her dog Emmett strolled along and watched the event unfold. The city made a great attempt to at least resurface the tree in time for this years tree lighting event. As most of you know it was looking a little well HO HO HUM.

"This time we are gonna have the time, money and hands to help", she said. I'm not waiting, just like when the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade ends they are already planning for next year's event. This time we have enough time to plan, decide on colors, theme, etc. Jaclyn has been in touch with Michelle Parks in the Leisure Department of City Hall and upcoming running Vice Mayor Justin Flippen who is going to be getting our votes and is ready to make 2018 a much better tree and with better decorations. As we speak tonight she has already with the help of her community raised over $600 dollars. "I feel that we are sledding in the right direction for next Christmas", she said.

This time around she is trying to get the community involved with trying to find people that can help fund raise perhaps donate and help get this tree back in shape. Jaclyn said, "The tree itself looks like its in good condition with new lights installed previously and that all it really needs is the tender loving care it deserves to sparkle!" If you would like to help Jaclyn on this quest with a donation which is needed very much, she has started a GoFundMe page at gofundme.com/wilton-manor-christmas-tree-decor.

Jaclyn St James is already making her list of naughty, we mean nice, lol neighbors to lend a helping hand and dollar. We commend you Ms St James for the hard work and effort you are taking to making our community great. It's people like you that deserve a medal of honor, or a medal of poinsettias! Again thank you to you Jaclyn St James and the community for trying to make a difference. We do look forward to hearing more about the upcoming tree and decorations soon!
